Your final pay will be direct deposited into your account(s) as usual. If you receive your pay in the mail, your check will be mailed to your home address on file.
Soon after leaving MIT, you will no longer have access to Atlas. You can retrieve your paystub from Automatic Data Processing (ADP) by going to myadp.com or using the ADP Mobile Solutions App.
Download ADP Mobile Solutions—from the AppStore on iOS or Google Play on Android—then complete the registration instructions below to obtain your username and password.
Registration Instructions:
If you already have a myADP account from a previous employer, your information should be automatically linked. If you have forgotten your old username or password, you can reset them by navigating to https://my.adp.com and clicking “forgot your User ID?”
- You cannot create an account if you are currently logged in to myADP via Atlas. You must log out and navigate to https://my.adp.com
- Go to https://my.adp.com. Click on Create Account and select Find Me.
- Select the Your Information option and enter your first and last name, date of birth, country, and your full 9-digit Social Security Number (note: do not include dashes or spaces).
- After your record has been located and displayed, select your name, click Continue, and follow the prompt to enter your telephone number. ADP will send you a verification code to your phone to complete the registration process.
- You will be asked to choose a unique password and enter your email. The password must contain 8 to 20 characters and include a combination of letters and numbers. Create and use a new strong password that is different from your Kerberos password.
- myADP will automatically assign you a username and display it for you.
- Log in with the username assigned to you by ADP and the new password you created. We recommend following ADP’s steps to provide backup contact information and using your personal email address (not your MIT email address) for backup.
- myADP will send you an email asking to verify your email address. Click on the verification link within 24 hours to maintain access to the myADP app and complete the registration process.
- If you run into any problems setting up your account, contact VPF at payroll@mit.edu for assistance.
After you leave MIT, you can find your final Annual Wage and Tax Statement W-2 Form on the ADP website and app, using the same login to find your paystub (in Step #1 above). This form is available during the last week in January following your last year at MIT.
If you are a retiree and receive a distribution from the MIT Pension Plan (also known as the Basic Retirement Plan) you can expect to receive a 1099-R Form in your USPS mail in late January for the previous calendar year. Contact VPF HR/Payroll if you need a replacement 1099-R. The 1099-R Form is not available online.
If you receive distributions from the MIT 401 (k) plan, you will receive a 1099-R Form directly from Fidelity Investments.
See the MIT Human Resources webpage Leaving MIT for all other benefits and financial concerns related to ending your employment at MIT.
